How to improve Cloud Discrepancies?

To avoid Discrepancies while using the Chaos Cloud for rendering there are a  few major things that we could check before submitting a job to the Cloud.

  • Take a look at the Supported Features web page. From which you can check all of the supported and unsupported features by Host applications:
    1. V-Ray for 3ds Max Supported Features
    2. V-Ray for SketchUp Supported Features
    3. V-Ray for Maya Supported Features
    4. V-Ray for Rhino Supported Features
    5. V-Ray for Cinema 4D
    6. V-Ray for Houdini Supported Features

  • Use the “Preview” button on the “Submit to Chaos Cloud rendering” window, which will export locally a VRscene file and render a preview of your job on your local machine, so if there is any discrepancy you will be able to notice it before submitting to the Cloud and avoid unnecessary credits consumption. If you notice any discrepancies and you are not able to find what is causing them, you could write to our support team so we could investigate it for you.

  • Use the “Analyze” button on the “Submit to Chaos Cloud rendering” window, which will analyze your scene for unsupported features like materials, textures, Render elements, etc. so if you noticed something unsupported feature you could use our converter tools to convert them.
