Brand-new Chaos suite offerings are here.

Everything you need to know.

Today, May 20, 2025, we are excited to introduce our new industry-focused suite offerings tailored to meet the specific needs of professionals in Architectural Design, Architectural Visualization, and Media & Entertainment (M&E)

Each suite is thoughtfully curated to deliver the essential tools needed to support and enhance workflows unique to each industry. Organized into three distinct tracks, the suites make it easy for users to select the right combination of tools from Chaos’ comprehensive portfolio, ensuring the perfect fit for every project. These new offerings simplify our product lineup by providing a targeted, cost-effective, and easy-to-manage toolset, eliminating the complexity of purchasing individual products.

As part of this transition, some of our current offerings are being retired. Existing subscriptions to these retired products will be migrated to one of the new suites upon renewal. This article is your go-to resource for understanding how these changes will impact your workflow, pricing, licensing, and overall experience.

What’s important

  • We now offer three options—Solo, Premium, and Collection—built around our leading products: V-Ray, Corona, and Enscape. These tiers are designed to help you choose the right level of functionality based on your specific needs.
  • The fixed-to-one-computer license is being retired and replaced with named user licensing.
    • Current V-Ray Solo and Corona Solo subscriptions will transition to named licenses on July 1, 2025.
    • We are introducing a new Enscape Solo named license offering, while at the same time retiring the Enscape Fixed-Seat License offering.
    • Named licenses are assigned to specific individuals within your organization, giving them the flexibility to access the software from any device - whether they're in the office, at home, or on the move. Unlike fixed licenses (tied to a single machine), named licenses follow the user, not the hardware. This makes license management easier and more adaptable: you can reassign licenses as roles change, teams evolve, or new hires come on board - without the friction of hardware-based restrictions.
    • Named licensing is often preferred by individuals or small teams who use the software regularly and require continuous, guaranteed access. It’s also a strong fit for larger organizations with centralized IT departments, where the IT manager wants to control who can access each license. While more affordable for a single user, named licensing may become costlier for larger teams - since each user needs a separate license - but it provides greater control over license access and usage.
  • The floating license model remains unchanged.
    • The current V-Ray Premium and Corona Premium floating licensing model remains unchanged.
    • We are introducing the new Enscape Premium and ArchDesign Collection offerings, both available with named and floating licensing options, while retiring the Enscape Floating License offering.
    • We are also introducing the new ArchViz Collection: V-Ray Edition, ArchViz Collection: Corona Edition, and M&E Collection - each available with both named and floating licensing options.
    • Floating licenses function as a shared pool that users within the same organization can access on a first-come, first-served basis. They do not require individual assignment, which simplifies management - especially in larger or dynamic teams. Multiple users can share a floating license, as long as they don’t use the software simultaneously.
    • Although floating licenses are more expensive for a single user, they are often the more economical option for larger teams with periodic or rotating usage. For example, a company with 20 users may only need 10 floating licenses if the software is used at different times - making it a cost-effective and scalable model for firms with varying usage patterns.

How much does it cost?

If I have a subscription to a retiring offering, what will it be migrated to?

If you have an active subscription to an offering we are no longer selling, it will be automatically migrated to the suite listed below at renewal—unless you choose a different plan beforehand.

The migration will follow the new pricing levels, which will take effect for subscription renewals starting after June 30, 2025.

Retiring Product Offering Default Offering at Renewal
Enscape Fixed-Seat License* (fixed, annual) Enscape Premium (named, annual)
Enscape Floating License (floating, annual) ArchDesign Collection (floating, annual)
Enscape Fixed-Seat License (fixed, monthly) Enscape Solo (named, monthly)

Note: Customers with an Enscape Fixed-Seat License (fixed, annual) who also purchased the Impact add-on will be migrated to the ArchDesign Collection (named, annual), as this suite already includes Impact. The separate Impact add-on license will be canceled on your behalf, as it will no longer be needed.*

What happens to Enscape subscriptions renewing between May 20 and June 30, 2025?

If your subscription is set to renew between May 20, 2025, and June 30, 2025, you will have the opportunity to either remain on your current plan for one more term or upgrade to one of the new suite offerings. You can upgrade to a new suite offering through the my.chaos.com admin portal or by contacting your preferred reseller. If you choose to stay on your current plan for one final renewal, your subscription will be automatically migrated to a new offering upon expiration - unless you pre-select a different offering beforehand.

What are my options if I don’t want the default plan?

If you prefer not to follow the proposed migration path, you can select a different suite product via the my.chaos.com portal or by contacting your preferred reseller. Your selection will determine how your account is billed at the time of renewal.

What offerings are not being retired?

These offerings will remain available for both renewal and new subscriptions:

  • V-Ray Solo, V-Ray Premium
  • Corona Solo, Corona Premium
  • Individual products such as Vantage, Anima, and others will also remain available for renewal and new subscription purchases

Note: Envision and Veras are already included in the suites. For any new Chaos products we release, we’ll assess whether they are a good fit for inclusion in one of the existing suites.

What happens to the current V-Ray Enterprise offering?

New V-Ray Enterprise subscriptions and seat additions to existing subscriptions will no longer be available. However, existing license holders will still be able to renew their subscriptions with the same number of seats.

Please note: If a V-Ray Enterprise subscription is not renewed, it will be lost and cannot be reactivated.
