For V-Ray Distributed rendering to work in 3dsMax each computer must have Autodesk Backburner installed - the same version 3dsMax is. 3dsMax 2019 installer, unlike previous versions, does not include Autodesk Backburner 2019 and should be downloaded from Autodesk's App Store and installed separately on each machine before a distributed rendering job can be started.
