Which 3ds Max versions are supported in V-Ray 5?

V-Ray 5 officially supports 3ds Max 2018-2022.

 

We also provide builds for 3ds Max 2016-2017, and they should work as expected. Please note that support for these versions is unofficial — we cannot test V-Ray under versions prior to 3ds Max 2018, due to Autodesk licensing restrictions.

 

The new V-Ray Frame Buffer is available in 3ds Max 2018 or later. Older 3ds Max versions support the previous V-Ray VFB.
