Our universal installer attempts to download and install the NVIDIA GPU AI Denoiser automatically, provided that a supported NVIDIA graphics card is detected. This is however sometimes unwanted or impossible - for example in the case of batch installing Corona on a render farm. In such cases, the denoiser package can be downloaded once and then distributed along with the installer.
Here is how to install the denoiser manually:
- Download the universal installer for 3ds Max or Cinema 4D here - https://corona-renderer.com/download/
- Download the NVIDIA AI Denoiser package for:
- 3ds Max:
- For Corona version 7 and newer: The NVIDIA AI Denoiser is no longer downloaded separately. Each new denoiser version is provided by NVIDIA through a GPU driver update.
- For Corona version 6: https://installer.corona-renderer.com/3dsmax/6/NvidiaAiDenoiser
- For Corona version 5: https://installer.corona-renderer.com/3dsmax/5/NvidiaAiDenoiser
- For Corona version 4: https://installer.corona-renderer.com/3dsmax/4/NvidiaAiDenoiser
- For Corona version 3: https://installer.corona-renderer.com/3dsmax/3/NvidiaAiDenoiser
- Note: The NvidiaAiDenoiser file does not come with an extension! The file name should be just "NvidiaAiDenoiser" and this is correct. There is no need to rename or unpack this file!
- For Corona version 7 and newer: The NVIDIA AI Denoiser is no longer downloaded separately. Each new denoiser version is provided by NVIDIA through a GPU driver update.
- Cinema 4D (works with all versions of Corona):

- For Corona version 3: https://installer.corona-renderer.com/c4d/3/NvidiaAiDenoiser
- 3ds Max:
- Place the downloaded NvidiaAiDenoiser file next to the universal installer (e.g. if the universal installer is located in C:\Downloads, then place the NvidiaAiDenoiser file in C:\Downloads as well):
- Run the universal installer and proceed with the standard installation.
Note: There is no need to use the "Custom" installation type, or to check or uncheck any options. This will work even if you simply press the "next" button a few times to finish the standard installation. - The universal installer will install the NVIDIA GPU AI Denoiser from the local folder instead of downloading it.
Note: If you do not see NVIDIA AI Denoiser in your host application it is likely that your graphics card is not supported. See: Hardware Requirements
The NVIDIA GPU AI Denoiser installation can be also safely cancelled, or skipped completely - See: How to install Corona Renderer without additional data?
