No – new Chaos product releases will make the License Server optional. You will be able to use any type of license, named or floating, without a License Server.
If you prefer a centralized model, you will still be able to deploy a License Server on your local network and point products to it, or keep your current setup unchanged.
Offline licenses still require the License Server to be installed.
