What happens to existing Veras Credits on May 27?

To make the transition to Chaos Credits as smooth as possible, only the unused Veras Credits remaining in your account at the time of migration on May 27 are automatically converted into Chaos Credits at a fixed conversion rate of 10 Veras Credits = 1 Chaos Credit.

For example, if you have an annual license that provides X Veras Credits per month, only the portion of that X (per month) that remains unused by May 27 will be migrated, not the future credits you will receive over the rest of your subscription term.

Once converted, these credits behave like any other Chaos Credits and can be used across all credit‑consuming features - not only Veras. This applies only to the unused Veras balance on May 27.

On top of the converted balance, you also receive your full standard Chaos Credits Monthly Refresh from your active products on May 27, regardless of where you are in your billing cycle.

The June 27 expiration applies only to the migrated balance - an extra month to use the migrated credits in addition to your new Monthly Refresh. After June 27, any unused portion of the converted balance expires, but your standard Chaos Credits Monthly Refresh from your subscription continues uninterrupted.

A few important notes:

  • The existing Veras‑related boost is being discontinued on May 27. For customers where Auto‑renewal is activated, this will be replaced with a monthly Chaos Credits package of 3,000 credits at the corresponding new price point. From their next renewal date onward, they will effectively be renewing onto this 3,000‑credit package instead of the old boost.
  • Going forward, additional credits can be purchased through the new Chaos Credits packages.
