On May 27, we launched the new Chaos Credit system and updated how your credits are managed. You may currently see two separate credit allowances in your account. Here's what they are and how they work.
Two things happened on May 27:
- Your existing credits were migrated. Your unused Veras credits were converted to Chaos Credits at a 10:1 ratio, so every 10 Veras Credits became 1 Chaos Credit. This is a one-time migrated allowance.
- Your new monthly allowance was added. On the same day, your subscription received its standard monthly Chaos Credits.
This is why your account now shows two separate allowances for each seat:
- Your regular monthly credits
- Your one-time migrated credits
The migrated credits are available until June 27. After that date, your account will continue with your regular monthly allowance.
Monthly allowances
Your subscription provides the following monthly Chaos Credits:
- Premium Subscriptions: 500 Chaos Credits
- Collection Subscriptions: 1,500 Chaos Credits
- Veras Pro: 2,000 Chaos Credits
- Veras Ultra: 6,000 Chaos Credits
Example
Let's say you have a Premium subscription and had 12,000 unused Veras credits on May 27. Here's what happened:
- You received 500 Chaos Credits as your regular monthly Premium allowance.
- You received an additional 1,200 Chaos Credits from your migrated Veras credits (12,000 / 10).
Your total balance became 1,700 Chaos Credits. The 1,200 migrated credits remain available until June 27, after which your account will continue with the standard 500 monthly credits.
