Rendering has low quality! (looks blurry, pixelated)

If your rendered image has an unexpectedly low quality, for example, it looks blurry, pixelated, or low-resolution, please check the following options: 

 

1) NVIDIA AI Denoising

Solutions:

 

Disable NVIDIA AI Denoising completely. 

Note: it has to be disabled in two places to disable it for interactive and non-interactive rendering:

  • Render Settings > Corona > General Settings > Denoising > Mode (set to "None" or try other denoising mode)

  • Render Settings > Corona > Performance settings > Interactive rendering > "Fast preview denoise during render" mode (set to "None" or try other denoising mode)

2) Image upscaling factor

Solution:

 

  • You can disable the image upscaling factor in the Corona menu > Preferences > Corona > Interactive Rendering > Image upscaling factor (set it to 1.0).

3) NVIDIA AI Upscaling

 

Solution:

Disable the NVIDIA AI Upscaling for production and interactive rendering:

 

  • Render Settings > Corona > General Settings > Upscaling mode (set to "Disabled")

  • Render Settings > Corona > Performance settings > Interactive rendering > "Use upscaling" (disable this checkbox)
