The Chaos Ideas Portals provide a way for you to let us know what features you would like to see added in our software! This makes it easier for you to submit feature requests, adds transparency on both what feature requests are out there and on their status, and makes it far easier to vote on what you most want to see.

Your Idea - provide a brief, one-sentence summary of your Idea.
Note: Any similar Ideas will appear in the box under your Idea summary. Consider voting for them before you create a new Idea. If your idea has already been submitted by someone else, there is no need to submit another one. We want to keep duplicates to the minimum.
Choose a category for your Idea - from the dropdown list, please select the category that best aligns with your Idea:
Please add more details - In this field, please provide a detailed description of your Idea (why it is useful, who would benefit from it and how it should work). You may also attach screenshots, files, or any other materials that could help clarify your proposal.

Once your idea is submitted, our product teams will review it and you will be notified about any important updates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I access the AHA Portal?
Use the links to specific product portals:
- V-Ray Ideas Portal
- Enscape Ideas Portal
- Corona Ideas Portal
- Vantage Ideas Portal
- Cosmos Ideas Portal
- Cloud Ideas Portal
No new sign-up is required. Use the Chaos login, which you already have.
Q: How do I vote on Ideas?
The ideas are visible to everyone. You can vote (once) on any Idea, and you can vote on as many Ideas as you like.
Q: How can I comment or provide feedback on Ideas?
Every Idea has a comments section, so that there can be conversation amongst the community or with the product team.
Q: How do I find out if my Idea is already in the portal?
When you type the name of your Idea, it will make some guesses and suggest already existing Ideas to save on duplicates. Reviewing the existing submissions before posting your own is still advisable.
Q: When do Ideas become visible on the board?
It is expected and deliberate that Ideas will NOT be immediately visible on the board when you submit them. New Ideas are visible only to our team and the person who submitted them.
This gives us a chance to catch duplicates and merge them before people start voting on the second or third posting of the same Idea. It also gives us a chance to review them and give them an appropriate starting status. Ideas will be reviewed and moved from New at least once per week, and more often if possible.
Q: How do the different Idea statuses work?
Talking of the possible statuses, you can see those on the Guide page of each individual portal, but to cover them here:
- New - This Idea is newly submitted and is visible to the person who posted only.
- Pending - This Idea is pending review by our product management team.
- Accepted - This Idea is accepted for implementation and open for additional feedback.
- Planned - This Idea is planned for development and should be available in an upcoming release.
- Released - This Idea has been released and is live for customers.
- Declined - This Idea does not align with our strategy and will not be implemented.
Q: What is the purpose of the different Categories?
On the left side of the page, you'll find categories for various Chaos products. Please note that submissions are visible to all users of a particular product, not just to those associated with a specific application.
It is fine if you see that a similar Idea has already been submitted for another product - each product is managed separately, and the same Idea may have different statuses across different applications. However, if you notice that a similar Idea exists for another product, it would be helpful to include a link to that Idea in your submission’s description.
Q: What is the purpose of the different Sub-Categories?
You'll find sub-categories such as Cameras, Lights, Geometry, and more. Some requests may seem to fit into multiple categories, but don't worry too much about which one you choose for your submission. There’s also a tooltip for each sub-category to give guidance on the kinds of things that would fall under it, and there is always the Other sub-category if you are really not sure where your idea belongs!
Q: How to submit Vantage feature requests?
Simply pick the product which you are using Vantage with. For example, if you are using Vantage with V-Ray for 3ds Max, submit your idea in the V-Ray portal.
