This problem is known to appear on some of the nodes when using distributed rendering.
Solution
This problem seems to be triggered by the Autodesk Info Center application which by default starts with 3Ds Max.
Please find the location of the Info Center application on any node PC where the problem appears (the file name is WSCommCntr4.exe - it is usually found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\WSCommCntr4\Lib ) and rename it to, for example, WSCommCntr4.exe.OLD - it is essential to change the file extension to .OLD so that it is prevented from running.
You can also move the file to a new folder, but please do not remove it completely, as it is good to keep backups of such files in case they are needed in the future. After doing that, please check if after running 3ds Max, there is no WSCommCntr4.exe process running in the Windows Task Manager.
If the above solution does not work for you, please contact us by submitting a support ticket.
