How to upload files to Chaos Support

This article provides information on how to submit your request to Chaos 3D Support and upload your files for further investigation.

 

Submit a support request

Follow these steps to open a ticket and add your files.

  1. Go to the Submit a request form on support.chaos.com.
  2. Fill in the required fields and describe your issue. Include product, version, host application, and steps to reproduce.
  3. In the Attachments area, select "Add a file" to upload. Do not drag and drop files.
  4. Wait for all files to finish uploading, then select "Submit".
  • Maximum total upload size: 100 GB
  • Maximum number of files: 99
  • Uploads are encrypted via SendSafely for secure transfer.

Prepare your project for upload

Archive or pack your scene with all used assets before uploading, utilizing the tool for your host application:

  • V-Ray for 3ds Max: File > Archive
  • V-Ray for Maya: File > Archive Scene
  • V-Ray for Cinema 4D: File > Save Project with Assets
  • V-Ray for Houdini: V-Ray > Pack Scene
  • V-Ray for SketchUp: Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project tool
  • V-Ray for Rhino: V-Ray > Pack Project tool
  • Blender: File > External Data > Pack All Into .blend
  • V-Ray for Revit: Save .rvt + linked files (if they are available). Enable Export as Archive in V-Ray Settings > Paths & Sharing, after that export V-Ray Scene.
