Full error message text: You are rendering a sequence with history autosave enabled and history overwrite confirmation enabled. This can result in showing a confirmation overwrite prompt that will block the sequence rendering.
Note: this message refers to the Corona VFB "Render History and A/B Comparison" autosaving, not to the "Output Autosave" feature.
This error message appears as a safety measure when the following configuration is used in Render Setup > System > System Settings > Render History and A/B Comparison:
- "Size on HDD" and/or "Limit file count" is enabled so that some older history items may get overwritten by newer ones.
- "Show overwrite confirmation" is enabled.
In such a case, the overwrite confirmation window may block the rendering process when rendering a sequence:
The "You are rendering a sequence..." error message provides you with options to disable the history autosave whatsoever (so that no history snapshots are written or overwritten) or disable the overwrite confirmation window (if it's disabled, then older history snapshots are automatically overwritten by newer ones).
The overwrite confirmation window provides you with options to proceed with file deletion, prevent the deletion, or proceed with file deletion and disable further confirmation windows so that the files are deleted automatically.
Generally, we recommend keeping the "Show overwrite confirmation" option disabled (it is disabled by default).
