Proxy has corrupted normals

Proxy has corrupted normals. These will be automatically fixed, which may result in unexpected rendering changes depending on proxy settings. To fix this warning, please convert the proxy to a 3ds Max mesh and then export the mesh to proxy again.

This error message appears in case a Corona Proxy with corrupted normals is detected. The common causes of this include:

  • Loading a proxy which was originally created in an older version of Corona than the currently used one
  • Loading a proxy which was originally created in a different versions of 3ds Max than the currently used one

Solutions:

  • The corrupted normals are fixed automatically, however this may result in unexpected rendering changes. The best solution is to convert the offending proxy back into a 3ds Max editable mesh using the built-in controls in the proxy settings, and then export it to a Corona Proxy again using the built-in exporter (Right click in any viewport > Open Corona Proxy Exporter).
  • Another option is removing the offending proxy.
