From Corona 13, you can import a .vrscene file exported from Enscape into Corona for 3ds Max and render it. Here’s how you can do this in simple steps:
Prerequisites:
- V-Ray for 3ds Max must be installed - The .vrscene import functionality requires V-Ray to be installed on your system, even though you'll be rendering with Corona. V-Ray provides the necessary libraries to read .vrscene files.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Open Your Scene in Enscape
Open your project using your preferred CAD/BIM software (like Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.) and launch Enscape from the toolbar.
2. Set Up the Scene in Enscape
Tweak your materials, lighting, and camera views inside Enscape until you're happy with the setup.
3. Export as V-Ray Scene
Click the “V-Ray Scene Export” button in the Enscape toolbar.
4. Select Views to Export
A window will pop up showing available camera views. Select the ones you want to export and click Export.
5. Confirm Warnings
A message might show up letting you know that render results in Corona may look slightly different due to engine differences. Click Continue.
6. Choose Export Folder
Pick a folder where you want your .vrscene files and assets to be saved.
7. Wait for Export to Finish
You’ll see a progress bar. Once it’s done, your .vrscene files will be in the folder you selected.
Import into Corona in 3ds Max
8. Open 3ds Max, set Corona as renderer, and Use the Corona Toolbar
Click the Import .vrscene button in the Corona toolbar.
9. Browse for the .vrscene File
A window will open. Next to Import File, click Browse and select the .vrscene file you exported from Enscape.
10. Set Asset Directory
Under Asset Directory, choose where the textures and other files should be stored.
11. Click Import
Click the Import button and wait while the scene loads into 3ds Max.
12. .VrScene Import
3ds Max will show a loading window and will load the scene in 3ds Max
Final Result
Once it finishes, you’ll see your full Enscape scene inside 3ds Max, ready to be rendered with Chaos Corona!
Notes
- Some materials or lighting may look slightly different because of the differences between Enscape and Corona.
