Starting with Corona 15, you can access Chaos Veras directly from the Corona Virtual Frame Buffer (VFB). This allows you to leverage AI-powered ideation and enhancement tools without leaving your rendering environment.
What is Chaos Veras?
Chaos Veras is an AI-driven visualization tool that uses your existing geometry and renders as a foundation. It allows you to:
Iterate Styles: Quickly swap between photorealistic, cinematic, or artistic styles.
Refine Details: Use text prompts to add context, vegetation, or architectural variations.
Animate: Create camera paths and transitions based on your AI-enhanced frames.

You can find the Veras button in the top toolbar of the Corona VFB:
How to Use Veras with Corona
You don't need to wait for your final render to start playing with AI. Here is the typical workflow:
Start a Render: You can trigger Veras during Interactive Rendering, while a production render is running, or after it has finished.
Launch Veras: Click the Veras icon in the VFB. This will automatically capture the current VFB contents and open the Veras interface.
You can apply one of the ready-made presets to your image by selecting its icon and clicking "Render".

You can also adjust various parameters:
Prompt: Describe what you want to see (e.g., "Modern villa, sunset lighting, wet pavement").

Save your result directly from the Veras interface
Note: if you notice that your image appearance (brightness, contrast, colors) is different in Veras than in the Corona VFB, this is due to 3ds Max color management. To fix this, go to Rendering > Color Management in the 3ds Max top menu and switch Color Management Mode from "OCIO - 3ds Max Default" to "Gamma Workflow". You can then optionally enable the ACES OT tone mapping operator in the Post tab of the Corona VFB.
Tips for Best Results
Resolution: For the best AI interpretation, ensure your VFB aspect ratio matches the desired output in Veras.
Prompting: Be specific. Instead of "House," try "Mid-century modern residence with cedar cladding and floor-to-ceiling glass."
Masking: Use the Veras selection tools to only change specific parts of your image (like the sky or the flooring) while keeping your main architecture untouched.
Note: Chaos Veras requires an active internet connection for AI processing and license verification.
