This article may refer to the following error messages:
1. Using 'Area to render: Selected' is not compatible with distributed/command-line rendering.
This message occurs whenever you are trying to render using Distributed Rendering while using "Area to render" in common tab of Render Setup set to “Selected”. Corona's DR takes advantage of 3ds Max command line rendering, which is unable to retrieve viewport selection, therefore this mode is unsupported.
Solution: do not use "Area to render" set to "Selected" with distributed rendering.
2. Using 'Render selected: Viewport selection' is not compatible with distributed/command-line rendering.
This message occurs whenever you are trying to render using Distributed Rendering while using the "Render selected" feature set to "Viewport selection". Corona’s DR takes advantage of 3ds Max command line rendering, which is unable to retrieve viewport selection, therefore this mode is unsupported.
Solution: when using distributed rendering, use another mode of the Render selected feature ("Include list" or "object ID").
3. Using network rendering with 'Render selected' and 'Clear VFB inbetween renders' off is not supported. The image may come out darker.
This message means that "Render selected" and "Clear VFB inbetween renders" are used in a single network rendering session. This is not supported and will result in having the rendered image get gradually darker.
Solution: disable one or both of the aforementioned options.
