In those cases, you need to update them and the best way to do so would be from the chip manufacturer’s official website, be it NVIDIA or AMD. Their pages will prompt you to choose the series and model of your card, as well as the operating system’s version before you download them. It’s also possible to download them from their respective desktop applications as well.
While Windows can offer you to do that automatically, it’s not a reliable way to update them and you will often be misled to think your drivers are up to date, when in fact they aren’t.
