After a rendering is complete, you can save the resulting image, including its multipasses, LightMix, tone mapping, and denoising data into a single CXR file.
Saving Render Output as CXR
Starting from Corona 12 Update 1, you can pick CXR as the file type in the Save section of the Render Settings window.
Saving a CXR file from the VFB 2.0
Press the down-arrow button next to the save button in the Corona VFB. This will bring up three options: Save, Save All, and Save CXR.
Note:
- If you click the "Save" button, this will save only your currently visible render pass in the format of your choice. So if you select the Beauty pass and click "Save", it will save only the beauty pass, without any other elements such as the LightMix, even if you select the CXR format.
- If you select "Save all", this will save each render pass as a separate file using the format of your choice.
- If you select "Save CXR", this will store all the information from the VFB (all render passes, including the LightMix, tone mapping, denoising data, etc) inside a single CXR file. This file can be used to resume rendering later, post-process in the Corona Image Editor, or perform denoising later.
Alternative method of saving multiple .CXR files
Go to Corona > Preferences:
You can use the following options in Corona Preferences:
- Output Autosave - this automatically saves images in CXR format taking into account the specified time interval, number of images, and location
- Automatic saving of history items on render end - this automatically stores a CXR file once rendering is finished
