Server error: the image may come out wrong

This message means that some error has occurred on one of the server machines, which can result in the server sending wrong output to the workstation and corrupting the rendered image. The text of the message will tell you exactly which of the errors has occurred.

Possible solutions:

  • Fix the source(s) of error:

    • Corona license not present, aborting render - check this link.

    • Unknown/Internal error. Please report it at https://corona-renderer.com/forum/ - check this link.

    • System is running low on RAM. You may experience excessive parsing times and/or crashes. You will probably have to simplify the scene - check this link.

    • Cannot save/load UHD cache from/to file - check this link

There is not enough system memory to process displacement at current settings. Stopping render - check this link

    • Required asset file could not be located
      or
There are missing XRef files - check this link

    • Could not start 3ds Max X. Autodesk Backburner is required for Corona distributed rendering, but it doesn't seem to be installed - check this link.

    • Corona version mismatch. Server version: X, Master version: Y - check this link.

    • Render had to be aborted because a bitmap on disk changed and is being reloaded. Check this link.

    • Windows enabled 'Fault Tolerant Heap' for 3dsmax or dependent processes. Check this link.

  • Remove server from distributed rendering (last resort, only in cases if the problem is impossible or very hard to fix)
